How It All Began

You might remember a post from a while ago about the truckie who got a ticket for parking his truck on the street near Augustine Heights BP?
I saw it too and couldn't stop thinking that there must be a better way.
It gave me the idea to build something: a site where locals with a bit of spare yard, shed or paddock space can list it for truckies, caravan and boat owners, or anyone who just needs somewhere safe to store something. No hidden fees, just fair deals between mates.

That one post stuck with me. Truckies, caravan owners, boat owners — they all need somewhere to park their gear. And at the same time, there are thousands of Aussies with a spare driveway, an empty shed, or a paddock that's not doing anything.
The problem was obvious. The solution wasn't complicated either. It just hadn't been built yet.
So I started building. Nights and weekends, one feature at a time. No investors, no board meetings — just a bloke in Springfield Lakes who reckoned he could make something useful.
StorageFinder is the result. A marketplace built for Australians, by an Australian, that connects people who have space with people who need it.
