How It All Began

You might remember a post about the truck driver who got a ticket for parking his rig on the street - the one that did the rounds on a local community Facebook group?
I saw it too and couldn't stop thinking that there must be a better way.
It gave me the idea to build something: a site where people with a spare yard, shed or driveway can list it for truck operators, caravan and boat owners, or anyone who just needs somewhere safe to store something. Clear pricing, no hidden fees.

That one post stuck with me. Truck drivers, caravan owners, boat owners - they all need somewhere to park their gear. And at the same time, there are thousands of people with a spare driveway, an empty shed, or a paddock that's not doing anything.
The problem was obvious. The solution wasn't complicated either. It just hadn't been built yet.
So I started building. Nights and weekends, one feature at a time. No investors, no board meetings - just someone who believed they could make something useful.
StorageFinder is the result. A marketplace that connects people who have space with people who need it.
